The Shrubbery School is committed to providing an exceptional education to all children.
Bursaries are available upon entry in Reception and are awarded for seven years, this is to ensure we can provide consistent support for the whole duration of a pupil’s school life.
For the 2022/23 and 2023/24 academic year we will also be offering bursaries upon entry in Year 1 and Year 2.
What is a Bursary?
A bursary award gives parents a percentage reduction in the school fees. It is only awarded to those parents who are unable to pay the full fees. The value of the award is means-tested, and depending on the parents’ financial circumstances it could be a maximum of 50% of fees.
Bursary awards are discretionary and subject to the financial resources of the school.
How many places are available?
Bursaries are limited to a maximum of 2 places per year group class.
How will we be assessed for a bursary?
You will be sent an application form and guidance notes to complete and return. It will ask questions about your household financial income, expenditure and assets/liabilities, details of any investments you hold, your accommodation and your dependants.
We require documented evidence to verify the information you provide.
Does the bursary award last for my son/daughters entire schooling?
A bursary is awarded for the entire school period, however it is subject to an annual re-assessment. The value of any award may diminish or increase based on changes in parental income and assets.
