Life at Th Shrubbery School begins in our private Nursery. Our experienced and dedicated team members work collaboratively with parents to provide the best learning experiences for children.
We believe that children are individuals and deserve the best start to their education with us. We use purposeful planning to create interesting and engaging learning activities and monitor progress using a rigorous assessment schedule. We aim to provide an exciting environment for our children where we encourage them to be inquisitive about the world around them.
Our purpose built Nursery is fully air-conditioned with furniture and play equipment from Community Play Things. The area boasts two 65″ Promethean interactive displays and latest generation iPads for interactive learning as well as an enclosed astro-turf playground for outside play, accessible via the classrooms patio doors.
Pupils in Nursery are fully integrated into school life and join our main school for assemblies and events. Our pupils also benefit from the sports facilities provided by our main school and are taught physical education by our dedicated PE staff. Lunches are also served in our newly refurbished air-conditioned canteen.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and value the importance of all seven areas of learning. We teach children to read and write using Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised and have a detailed programme of learning to ensure that mathematical knowledge is developed to a high standard.
We believe it is important that parents are actively involved in their child’s education. We frequently hold open mornings and workshops so that parents can come into school and share in their child’s learning. We also use Tapestry in our reception classes

Pick up. Nursery finishes at 3:30pm, afterschool care is available until 6pm.
